Well, I've completed my first bazaar of the season at Mt. View Junior High. We weren't rained on until I was packed up and loading. My first test of my new display revealed a few glitches but generally worked great:
I didn't sell anything by 3:00 so I said what the heck and put out my fingerless mittens from last year and right away I sold a pair & then a peyote bracelet. They paid for my table fee at least. Had some feedback from a couple of women that 1) I should sign up with The Square to take credit cards and 2) that I should apply to the larger art venues next year. So I promptly drove to Best Buy to get the Square and signed right up.
Right now I'm vegging out with the dogs and decompressing. Maybe I'll rake leaves later. Ta for now.

Coming down to the wire.....
With less than 2 weeks to go, I am madly finishing product. Finishing, design, etc. are not my strongest areas. I got out beaded Christmas trees I made over the summer to attach to ear wires:
While cruising the internet I came across this great little tool which I'm making as a stocking stuffer:
In the past Mark, the owner of Taming of the Brew, has let me post notices of my holiday bazaars so I took a display stand with one of my metal leaf necklaces, box for my business cards with my schedule on the backs, and a flyer:
So it's back to work.......
It's a bracelet fastening tool so you can hook up your own bracelets! Thanks to whoever posted this on Pinterest!

I'm back from my mega trip to Scotland and Ireland itching to add new content here. I had received an email from Mt. View Jr. High letting me know we were only a month away. Yikes! so I really began churning out components such as:
I decided to focus on fire-colored copper, which these are not yet colored.
I bought some ink-based paints by Ranger to try on a couple ginkgo leaves. After the ink dried I sanded lightly then sprayed to seal with Krylon Colormaster acrylic.
They aren't conventional patina colors but I think I can make them work.
I have assembled my corner display stands with the screen fabric & have hung some of my items for photographing:
So I am back to work as the days are counting down.

I have been mentally creating my updated booth setup for the holiday fairs. I went to Saturday Market to get some ideas from other jewelry sellers & discovered this:
I'll join the two trellises together & wrap with the screening. That way I can hang individual earrings right on the screen. Teddy is helping.
Well, I demoed at the Makers Fair yesterday morning. Glad it was morning because later in the day the heat rose and we were on OMSI's huge parking lot.
I was there as part of the Creative Metal Art Guild's participation. I had never heard of it before. There were many booths dedicated to reusing all kinds of detritus, making robotics, Viking role-playing and weapons manufacturing, and best of all, food and beer carts!

Early days in jewelry making
I've started a new blog to showcase my current art obsession, copper form folding and boho jewelry using sari silk ribbon. I'm going to throw in some early photos, some focus-challenged:
